SECRET DOOR

This art photography image to me is very mysterious. It’s from my series Bumps, Scrapes and Peels. I call it “Secret Door” It clearly looks like a doorway to whom knows where, hidden and rusted over waiting to be discovered. Perhaps a portal waiting to be opened.

It comes from the side of a four story container ship in Lake Union, Seattle,WA. This harbor at Lake Union is used to repair and paint many large barges and freighters in the shipyards located there. In my small skiff I would cruise the sides of these giant ships looking for interesting patterns and shapes etched into their sides.
